Ingredients

  • Ingredients:

    • 1 tsp green tea leaves or yerba mate

    • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger or ½ tsp dried ginger

    • 1 tsp lemon peel or juice from ½ lemon

    • 5–6 fresh mint leaves

    • 2 cups water

    • Ice cubes

    • Optional garnish: lemon slice or extra mint

Preparation

Instructions:

  1. Heat water to about 175°F (not boiling for green tea).

  2. Add green tea, ginger, lemon, and mint to a jar or teapot.

  3. Steep for 5–7 minutes.

  4. Strain and allow to cool to room temperature.

  5. Chill for 30 minutes.

  6. Serve over ice with lemon or mint garnish.
