1 tsp green tea leaves or yerba mate
1 tsp fresh grated ginger or ½ tsp dried ginger
1 tsp lemon peel or juice from ½ lemon
5–6 fresh mint leaves
2 cups water
Ice cubes
Optional garnish: lemon slice or extra mint
Preparation
Instructions:
Heat water to about 175°F (not boiling for green tea).
Add green tea, ginger, lemon, and mint to a jar or teapot.
Steep for 5–7 minutes.
Strain and allow to cool to room temperature.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Serve over ice with lemon or mint garnish.
